You can get a pretty good idea about what is going on here by looking around our website. We spend most of our time creating interactive media, CD-ROMs, algorithmic composition software, and custom authoring tools. Read the press releases to see what we are currently working on.
We speak English in the office but over the years the people working here have come from eight different countries. Nobody has ever worn a tie in the office. We're strictly Mac O/S people but we also develop cross-platform products so we have a PC on the network for testing.
You would be expected to have a working knowledge of at least three of the following programs and we will train you in any of the others that are required by our current projects.
Additionally, we sometimes need a PC person to supplement our part-time PC operator.
YAV Interactive Media is located in picturesque Zandvoort aan Zee (Zee = the North Sea), 400 steps from the beach and about 15 miles (24 km) from Amsterdam (in the Netherlands). Housing in the town is extremely inexpensive off-season (October - April) but expensive during tourist season (May - September). Trains run in and out of Amsterdam every half hour around the clock. The closest "big" city is Haarlem which is 5 miles (8 km) away across the dunes. Haarlem is long on beauty but short on tourists (We theorize that this is probably due to negative associations with the U.S. city of the same name).
